DETROIT, BROOKLYN, AND EVERYWHERE THE GROOVE TAKES YOU

DETROIT, BROOKLYN, AND EVERYWHERE THE GROOVE TAKES YOU.

THREE MUSICAL MINDS. ZERO INTEREST IN STAYING IN ONE LANE.

Some nights are about who’s playing. Others are about what happens when the right artists come together and let the music take over. This is one of those nights.

Making his TV Lounge debut, TORIBIO brings a world of rhythm to Detroit. The Brooklyn-based Dominican-American artist is a musician in every sense of the word: DJ, producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and lifelong student of the groove. Rooted in jazz, soul, Afro-Latin rhythms, funk, and house, his sets move across genres with the instinct of a live musician and the precision of a master selector. From his work with the acclaimed Afro-Latin ensemble Conclave to his celebrated DJ sets and Brooklyn block parties, TORIBIO knows how to turn musical discovery into a full-body experience. His philosophy says it all: “Bring dat ass, and your feet will follow.” Detroit, you’ve been warned!

Joining him is Detroit’s own sillygirlcarmen, bringing a fresh perspective to a culture she grew up embracing and continues to help shape. A DJ, producer, and vocalist with releases on Nervous, Popgang, and Soul Clap Records, Carmen moves effortlessly between the deep roots of house and the sounds pushing it forward. Her sets are instinctive, passionate, and responsive to the people in front of her. She doesn’t just play records; she builds a conversation between the music and the dance floor. With her Sun & Sound Detroit imprint and an ever-expanding creative vision, she represents a new generation carrying Detroit’s musical legacy forward while writing its next chapter.

Rounding out the trio is MEFTAH, Detroit producer, DJ, and founder of Musha Publishing. Drawing from multi-instrumentalism, beatmaking, and the many sounds of the diaspora, Meftah brings a distinctive musical language shaped by collaborations with Amp Fiddler and Black Noi$e, alongside recognition on Theo Parrish’s DJ-Kicks mix. Expect depth, texture, and grooves that reward those who come ready to listen as much as they came ready to move.

Three artists. Three different musical languages. One common language: the groove. When TORIBIO’s global rhythms, sillygirlcarmen’s instinctive dance-floor energy, and Meftah’s Detroit-rooted sonic explorations meet, expect the unexpected. No boundaries, no predictable paths, just good music, open minds, and a room full of people moving as one.

Assemble your crew. Come curious. Leave inspired. And whatever you do, bring your dancing feet.

This is TV!
